Little Miss Detail

A couple weeks ago, grandma and I were cruising thru the thrift store and saw this!  She was screaming "HELP ME, HELP!!  She had been there at least a week and nobody wanted her, but we did!
Funny little story about my business partner aka grandma.  When we find dressers at the thrift she takes a drawer and runs around trying to find someone to write us a ticket. People look at us like we are professional thrifters.  We just know that once you look at a piece, everyone becomes interested.  Am I right?

Anyways back to Lil Miss Detail.  We knew she would be beautiful refinished.  We have started adding some colors to our pieces but we really wanted to keep this one classy and timeless, so we went with our go to.   Drum roll please.......................................  WHITE!  I am so mad at myself for only getting a picture of this at the show, but at least it is something!

Look at the details on her and that hardware!  She makes me want to sing "Isn't she lovely"  She was snatched up at the market and is being picked up by a customer and heading North to her new home.

I am FINALLY refinishing our dresser this weekend.
Are you doing anything fun?

Kick-off to Market Season

Whew!  We are recovering from another successful Sweet William Market. We sold quite a bit of items and received a few custom orders.  It is always great to see old customers and meet new ones.  All I know is once market season kicks off our lives get crazier, summer goes by so much quicker and I get a few more gray hairs!  Our poor house gets neglected especially the week of a show and I neglect our blog.  However, at the end of the June I will be leaving my full-time job to focus more on Willow Creek.  We have a lot up our sleeves, so stay tuned!

Here are a few pictures of our space!  If you live in the Denver Metro area this is a definite market to check out!

Since the show was on Memorial Day weekend, we had an area displayed with red white & blue.

This dresser was in bad shape.  She had no drawer bottoms and chipping veneer but look at her now!

Tomorrow I will show you a before & after!

Happy Mother's Day

I am writing this a little late in the day but I hope all my readers had a wonderful Mother's Day and if you don't have kiddos I hope you got to spend it with someone special.

I got to spend my weekend and this morning with my mom! It has been a while since we had Mother's Day together so it was nice to be with her. She was that mom that never missed anything my sister and I had going on. We are very lucky to have her as our mom.

Five years ago I was able to celebrate my first Mother's Day and it has become a favorite holiday of mine. It makes me appreciate being able to be called mom by an awesome little boy.

Home is Where the Heart is

The last few weeks have been rough for our lil family. We decided to pack up the truck and get away from the city for the weekend. We headed down to my parents, I just needed a little bit of home. You know what they say "home is where the heart is"

Since i have no projects here with me i thought I would show you a few displays my mom has set up in their home. She gets 99% of her decor at garage sales and rarely pays over 20 bucks for anything! My dad is not fond of her decor or yard sales. He calls it junk and we call it treasurers. :)  I love her style it's so cozy and inviting!

I am loving these suitcases!  That big one makes my heart pitter patter a little bit!  I am in negotiations for the 3 of these.  :)  Can you believe people get rid of these?  I guess I should be happy they do!
They have a beautiful yard too!  Their yard is so nice, it's one of those yards that you just love to kick your flip flops off and be barefoot.  She also has displays outside that she changes up for the seasons.
It rained all weekend here so the garage sales stunk.  :(  But it was nice to get away and be with family.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
